Parker Is a Hero

I just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone what happened - and could've happened - today. Melanie's mom picked up the sweetest, happiest little boy from a shelter Tuesday and we named him Parker. He's a black and tan short haired tweenie and has the best personality!
I work nights and was so tired when I laid down this morning at about 9 and could've slept at least 8 hours straight. I was awakened at about 11:30 with Parker standing on my chest giving me more sugar than I really wanted that early in my sleep. I picked him up and sat him on the other side of the bed and told him to go back to sleep - then I took a deep breath. Something was burning! I flew out of bed and was running around the house like a crazy person trying to find the source, I was literally sniffing outlets, A/C vents, etc. Finally I heard the A/C trying to come on and there was a metal against metal sound that wasn't right. I called my husband and he told me to just flip the breaker to keep it from catching on fire. I did and "tried" to go back to sleep. He got home and took the panel off, flipped the breaker back on and turned just the fan on and we had us a little fire! We were both blowing to get it out, flipped the breaker and will wait for the A/C man to come in the morning to see what is wrong with our brand new air conditioning system.
I sleep in our bedroom with the door shut with all of our midgets and Parker was the only one trying to get me up - thank you soooooo much Parker!
