Woo Hoo!!! I’m here with all these wieners just like I belong to the
Wiener Society! High five everybody! I just LOVE to give high fives! I also
love to give kisses, play fetch, snuggle under the covers and just about
anything else that means I will get attention from someone. I can chase
squirrels for you, too, if you want – just as long as I don’t have to bring one
back, I’ve never actually caught one but I’ve only been trying for 4 years…
My story begins early one morning when my foster mommy was driving home from
work. She was on the interstate (falling asleep) and when she looked over to
the concrete barricade there I was! I was only about 8 weeks old at the time
and was wearing a brand new red collar. Who knows why I was there but I saved
my foster mommy from dozing off again and she saved me from what could’ve been
a horrible fate.
She brought me home and would you believe I learned the doggy door immediately?
Talk about smart! That’s me!!! I am one smart guy! I also know how to sit and
am trying to learn “down” but I haven’t quite gotten that yet. I also Love to
give high fives as I said earlier. If I had a nickel for every high five I’ve
given I could buy all the dog biscuits at the pet store – but I wouldn’t share,
they’d all be mine!
I don’t share my breakfast or dinner either so don’t even ask for any! I can
get pretty cranky if anyone tries to take any of my food! Or my toys! Or my
blanket! I do like to curl up with my person under the blankets for a good
snuggle, though, so that would be alright. It’s just that I live here with 10
other dogs and sometimes the bigger ones want to take my stuff and I just can’t
allow it. I already have to share a bathroom with the others and that’s bad
enough! Can you imagine sharing a bathroom with 10 other people on a regular
basis? You lose all modesty…
I will let my foster mommy talk to you a minute (I think she wants to talk
about me so I’ll go). I sure hope I hear from you soon, I’m really looking
forward to meeting you and giving you a big HIGH FIVE! Thank you for your
consideration, Newman
Newman is a good boy but he can be a little high strung. He will need someone
that will want to play with him and give him a lot of attention. He is up to
date on all of his shots and is heartworm negative and has been since I found
him. Newman doesn’t care to be bothered when he is asleep and has growled at me
but has NEVER bitten me or acted like he was going to even try it. In any case,
a home with small children is not a good idea unless the children are
knowledgeable about dogs and their temperaments.
Newman is used to sleeping in an open door crate as long as there is a blanket
in there. If there isn’t then he will find a blanket and burrow into it and
sleep for hours. He will need to be crated on road trips because he is
determined to look out every window – simultaneously! He gets very excited when
he goes bye bye and I just want to make you aware of this from the start. He is
extremely loving and loves attention of any kind, whether it’s cuddling in bed,
giving you high fives over and over as long as you let him or fetching a ball
in the yard. He will need to have a fenced in yard to run and play in, this is
a must. And while he gets along great with everyone here I think the best
situation for him will be a home with not so many dogs and no cats. The
neighbor’s cat jumped over our fence for some reason and Newman, along with
most of the others, put him on the road! I’m not sure if he just wanted to play
or if thought it was a big squirrel but I would be scared to take any chances.
I sincerely hope that you will consider Newman for your family, he will give
you so much love and affection in return! Please email me at
tubbytalks@aol.com for any more
information and be sure to fill out an application
and put Newman’s name on it. Thank you so much! Tammy and Newman
