Hello world! I’m Molly and I am currently accepting applications for those interested in being my forever family. I am a five year old, red, smooth girl. I weigh 16 pounds; I am up to date on all my shots, spayed and healthy. In order for me to choose you as my forever home there are some things you should know about me. First off…when I bust through the door of my new forever home, you will know I have arrived! My foster mom refers to me as the Diva or Miss Drama Queen but if you were me you would be too. I am absolutely the center of attention. I have to have lots of attention and I will be honest and say that sometimes I will demand your attention. I come with a crate that I love to lay in while I chew my rawhides. I would prefer to sleep in the big bed with my humans but I will tolerate a bed and blanket next to yours. I might put up a fuss at first but after a while I will get used to it. I will require my new family to tolerate my squeaky. My squeaky is one of my favorite things in life. I seriously have a compulsive squeaking disorder! I know I can’t squeak it all the time but for a little while during the day would be nice. I love to play fetch with my squeaky and go on walks. Walking with my humans is a must to keep me healthy and happy. Although I have a lot of energy and love to run around and play with my squeaky, I do love to cuddle and snuggle under blankets. I have to be involved in the goings on in my house and will gladly assist in house cleaning, yard cleaning, putting up groceries, loading the dishwasher or cooking. I can’t really help but I will follow my people around to watch and show my approval and support. I will warn you that I can be quite mischievous. It’s best to put the trash can away because if left unattended I will knock it over and pig out. I don’t like to have my paws touched or messed with or my ears pulled on or rubbed too hard. I am an early bird. I wake up early, ready to go out and potty and expect my breakfast promptly. If you don’t wake up right way don’t worry I’m a doggie alarm clock and will wake you. And speaking of birds…I am not a fond of them. I don’t get along well with birds or other critters I can get a hold of. I’ve never been around cats or small kids so I am not sure about them. I should be fine with older kids that know how to treat a dachshund. It would be really nice if my new family had another doggie I could play with. I have a lot of energy and would make a great playmate! I really am a fun girl to have around and am sure to bring great joy and energy to my new home. I am currently located in the Panhandle area so if you think your home might be the right one for this Diva please fill out an application with my name on it. My foster mom and dad will be happy to answer any questions you have about me so feel free to email us at theprestons1@cox.net
