Hey Friends, I'm Dolly. I came into rescue because my previous owner
wanted to put me to sleep since I became paralyzed! THANKFULLY the vet called
Dachshund Rescue Of South Florida and, in turn, Florida Dachshund Rescue. They
not only saved my life, they got me the surgery to hopefully help me walk
again! I am being fostered by Get a Life Pet Rescue for FLDR, where I am
rehabilitating and getting to play with toys! I currently scoot real fast with
my front legs and drag my back legs. I don’t know when I’m pooping but my
foster mom takes me out after I eat and tells me when I done my business.
Around that time and other time through out the day she will squeeze my bladder
so I can release my urine. I do know she is doing that but right now I can’t
make it happen on my own.
This combined effort by three rescues to aid Dolly in her rehabilitation,
shares the devotion of rescuers to come together to celebrate Dolly’s life.
I do have sensation in my back legs but cannot stand yet. There is hope I can
regain some mobility and be able to go potty on my own, but there are no
